Testimony

They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…
Revelation 12:11 (NIV)

When I was pregnant with our second child, I remember one night reading a book filled with miracle and angel stories.

I thought to myself, “I wish I had a miracle in my life like that.” Then I stopped myself. That would mean that I would NEED a miracle.
Instead of being thankful for the blessings God had already given to me, and giving that testimony, I was ungrateful and wishing for someone else’s experience. For some reason I thought that was more valid or would mean something more than what God had done in my life.
Each of our lives is a testimony to God presence and work. It is by declaring what He has already done for us and by the blood Jesus that we can overcome.
Don’t wish for someone else’s life. Even if it is full of miracles.
What is your testimony? Share it with someone today.

  1. Children ARE a miracle — so while you were reading that book about angels and miracles, you were actually experiencing your own miracle right then!
