Have You Stopped Trying Yet?

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23

Do. There is no try.

Jesus instructed.
Apostles directed.
Live this way. Walk that way. Do it God’s way.
Do stand.
Do gird your loins with truth.
Do wear the breastplate of righteousness.
Do walk according to the Spirit.
When my kids say “I’ll try”, they are leaving themselves an out if they fail.
They don’t get it.
When they leave themselves an out, it’s easy not to put 100% into it. It’s easy to stop short when it gets tough.
But something happens when we set aside all excuses. A strength rises up in us. The Spirit moves. And the mountain moves. Failure is no longer an option and we go a bit farther, we press a bit harder and try things we never would have thought we could touch. We do more. We finish.
If we miss the ball, the hoop or stop short of the finish line, God is there.
It really is all about Him. So when we are weak, stumble, or loose our vision God comes alongside us and works in and through us. He Accomplishes His purposes for His glory that His name will be praised.

Is there something that you need to do?
